Young Women of Faith Bible (NIV)

Zondervan's newest Bible for young girls, "Young Women of Faith Bible" is an awesome way to introduce the special young woman in your life to a traditional Biblical text. This Bible is a NIV translation, so the text is a traditional text, but the pages are filled with information, explanation, insight, and context to help the young reader understand and be able to related to the Scriptures.

I thought this Bible was a great tool for the younger readers, as it offers so many ways to help the reader connect to the message of the verses. Bright pink boxes on the pages break up the black and white space of the text and talk about life during Biblical times, why certain things are significant, historical events, and use modern day language and times to help tie in the message of the Bible to the life of a young girl.

This Bible offers a weekly Bible Study, that is only about one full page of reading, that offers a made up scenario that poses questions to make the reader think about the different aspects of their spiritual life. It then offers a "Read About It" feature that directs them to a specific chapter or verse to read that expands on the scenario and questions. It concludes with an "Experience It" challenge, asking the reader to follow through and experience what they have read about in some way.

Overall I would give this Bible a 5/5. I thought it was a great way to begin teaching my daughter how to navigate a traditional Bible. I also love that now she is able to find her favorite Bible stories, in more depth, than her Bible books.
